He first met Pete Jansons at a concert, and after sharing a beer, the two decided to start a podcast—a decision that led to the creation of a podcast that touches on everything from business insights to personal stories. Mike’s natural ability to connect with others and his candid, thoughtful approach to podcasting has made him an invaluable part of the HOG POD team.

Professionally, Mike is a Regional Account Manager at The Keckley Company, where he manages multiple regions across the United States, focusing on driving sales growth and building key relationships. His background in sales, marketing, and product management has contributed to his track record of exceeding company revenue targets and creating effective programs to promote products and build brand awareness.

Before his career in business, Mike was a passionate musician and the percussionist for The Mosquitos, a jam band known for its eclectic blend of rock, funk, and soul. Known as “Bongo Mike”, Mike brought his love for classic rock and 60s-70s music to the band, playing congas, bongos, timbales, and other percussion instruments. He’s influenced by musical legends such as Santana, Rare Earth, and The Grateful Dead, constantly seeking out classic tunes and forgotten gems to bring to life in new ways through the band’s distinctive style.

Mike’s diverse career path, from sales to music, along with his natural charisma, makes him a perfect fit for his role on the HOG POD Podcast. He brings energy, insight, and humor to the show, connecting with listeners and guests alike through his candid approach to life and business.

In his professional life, Mike is the Healthcare Vertical Solutions Leader at Diversified, a global leader in delivering technology-agnostic solutions that enhance workplace experiences, immersive environments, and media production. In this role, Mike leverages his deep expertise in healthcare, life sciences, and insurance to drive innovation and expansion at Diversified, while serving as a Player/Coach, mentoring teams and fostering growth across key sectors.

Mike’s career also includes leadership positions at WNS, where he served as Corporate VP of Healthcare Client Services – North America, and Conduent, where he worked as Senior Director of Client Partnerships for Enterprise Accounts. These roles have honed his skills in operations, business process improvement, sales strategy, and client relations, making him a trusted advisor in the healthcare solutions space.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mike is the Co-Founder of The Coterie, a nonprofit organization that raises money and awareness for various charities through music events. Since its inception in January 2020, The Coterie has hosted several successful events, including performances that feature musicians from across the Chicago area. The organization’s mission is clear: “Helping Others Through the Power of Music”. Mike’s leadership and passion for giving back are central to The Coterie’s success, and his contributions have made a lasting impact on local charitable causes, including Special Olympics Illinois, Little City Foundation, and the Children’s Craniofacial Association.

Mike’s journey in the music world extends to his own personal involvement in live performances and charity events. As a dedicated member of The Coterie, Mike continues to work with a talented group of musicians to support causes that matter, blending his love for music with his commitment to making a positive difference.
